Proud to see my daughter stepping up and doing her part to help keep rural Vermont clean and beautiful. In small towns like ours, we don’t take our surroundings for granted—we take care of them. From back roads and village greens to rivers, fields, and forests, this is home, and it deserves respect and stewardship.

What she’s doing reflects the values many were raised with here in Vermont—hard work, personal responsibility, and looking out for the community without needing to be asked. It’s not about recognition, it’s about doing what’s right because it benefits everyone.

In rural Vermont, we understand that every effort counts. Whether it’s picking up roadside litter or helping out in the community, these actions add up and set an example for others—especially the next generation—that taking pride in where we live is something we all share.”
