RED Friday: Remember Everyone Deployed

RED Friday stands for Remember Everyone Deployed, a tradition that encourages civilians and military families to wear red on Fridays to show support for U.S. service members serving overseas.

The movement became popular in the early 2000s during conflicts such as the Iraq War and the War in Afghanistan (2001–2021). By wearing red, people help raise awareness and remind others to keep deployed troops in their thoughts.

RED Friday is simple to participate in—anyone can wear a red shirt, hat, or ribbon. Though it’s a small gesture, it symbolizes appreciation, unity, and support for those serving far from home.

So, tomorrow is Friday. Let's all show our support to our troops who are deployed in theater and stateside. Let our communities stand together for freedom.
